Policies

Please read the following paragraphs very carefully. 

Public Information Protection Act

The BC Wildlife Federation (BCWF) complies with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The information you provide to BCWF when you register for courses enter into a contract is collected under the authority of the PIPA. It will be used to facilitate your registration, course planning communication, certification, and to remain in contact with you after the course in order to 1) provide mentorship, 2) allow you to stay in contact with course participants/instructors, and 3) comply with our funding partner(s’) requirements for participant follow-up. This information will also be used to administer and market BCWF education programs in accordance with these legislations. By accepting, you hereby give consent to the collection of personal information and use as described above.

Release, Indemnity and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being accepted as a participant/contractor in the BCWF Women Outdoors Skills and Experience Program, by accepting, I do hereby RELEASE, WAIVE and forever DISCHARGE, any and all rights and claims for damages, costs, expenses, suit, causes of actions, of any nature or kind whatsoever, that I may have at any time against the B.C. Wildlife Federation, associated program partners, financial supporters, and/or landowner(s), whether or not arising by reason of act, omission, imprudence, lack of skill or error of judgement by any one or more of the aforementioned, for any personal injury, debt, property damage or loss sustained by me as a result of my being a participant/contractor in the course, including but not limited to, my use of the lands owned by the Landowner(s) during the course.

Media Consent

I hereby consent that the BC Wildlife Federation has permission to use quotes made by myself either orally or on paper, and use photos or video footage of myself for the purposes of promoting and marketing the British Columbia Wildlife Federation, and/or photos or video footage usage by the funders of the project, both in print media and on the internet. I waive claims for compensation for such uses.

COVID-19

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will follow government direction. If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19, a full refund will be issued.

Transportation not provided. Parking is available on the site. Please bring your own food, water and snacks. The BC Wildlife Federation reserves the right to postpone the workshop within a 24-hour period before the start time if advised to do so by partner groups or to follow Provincial Health Orders. Dress for the weather, the workshop will happen rain or shine.

Cancellation Policy

100% refund for cancellations 14 days or more prior to workshop date. Registrants who do not attend and have not cancelled will forfeit the full registration fee.
